I found Zoom classes much easier than I expected, and enjoyed Alix’s classes a lot. I cooked a number of recipes that I would never have chosen, and with Alix’s guidance, found them much easier - and delicious. Highly recommend.

We had a virtual offsite with Alix where we did a bake-off with two of our teams. It was really enjoyable and Alix ensured everyone was included at all times. Highly recommend this for team building

Went to this with 10 others from work as part of a team building day. It was a fantastic experience. Alix and her team were very helpful and everyone enjoyed the demos and then it was a great time preparing the meals!

I had a most wonderful time on the course. The staff and content (knowledge and food) were well prepared, presented and ensured we could repeat the meals at home or in the future. The comradery of the participants added to the enjoyment I would hope to attend another course in the future.

The course was great at getting me up to speed with basics like soup, bread, desserts and main courses. It's all very well thought through and the bonus is taking home your own cooking to eat! Aside from that the atmosphere was really nice being able to chat with Alix and the other course participants gives you a real feel for cooking as pleasurable rather than a chore. Highly recommend.

I just completed the beginner cookery course with Alix. It was just brilliant. I wasn't super confident in the kitchen before this course, but after the course I feel a lot more confident. I would highly recommend for anyone. I'm already looking forward to booking into another one of her courses

BEST COOKERY COURSE

Alix Gardner has been saving marriages for 20 years. This is where to go when ‘can’t cook, won’t cook’ becomes an act of aggression rather than an endearing failing. Marian Finucane, Lara Jorgensen and many local madams have done the 10 week course. With a maximum of eight people per class, you get to take home the two dishes you create.

Choose from Intermediate 1 (Mondays, 6.30-9pm. Sample dishes: sole with prawns and mushrooms, beef Bourguinion, chocolate mousse Basque) and Around the World (Tuesdays, 6.30-9pm. Sample dishes: roasted red peppers Piedmont, lamb and cumin casserole, Thai sweet and sour vegetables). If – after all that – you still can’t boil an egg, don’t despair. Alix caters too.
